Trash Cleanup Campaign | Sustainability at STEINCO

Working Together for a Clean Wermelskirchen

Sustainability means taking responsibility—not only within the company, but also in the immediate community. That’s why 23 students and two apprentices worked together to collect trash at several locations in Wermelskirchen, sending a strong message of environmental awareness and social commitment. The initiative quickly demonstrated how much can be achieved through collective effort.

A Commitment That Deserves Support

The original plan was to donate €50 for every trash bag collected. But even while the campaign was underway, it became clear that this commitment deserved even more support.

That’s why STEINCO donated a total of €2,000 to the Class of 2027 at the Städtisches Gymnasium Wermelskirchen, regardless of the number of trash bags collected.

Actively Living Sustainability

For STEINCO, sustainability means not only resource-efficient processes and continuous optimization within the company, but also taking active steps in everyday life.

With initiatives like this, we aim to:

  • strengthen environmental awareness,
  • assume social responsibility,
  • and promote community engagement.

Regional projects in particular demonstrate how important cooperation and mutual support are.

Making a bigger difference together

The dedication of everyone involved was particularly impressive. With great commitment, they not only collected trash but also sent a visible message of responsibility and solidarity.

The initiative has shown once again that even small contributions can have a big impact when we work together.

Conclusion

A clean environment starts right on our own doorstep—and works best when we work together. We’d like to thank all the students and participants for their outstanding efforts and look forward to supporting such initiatives in the future as well.
